This part of our trip was really awesome! Both, my girlfriend and I loved Broome! It’s such a cool little town. I would also recommend going just north of Broome to Cape Levec for some amazing scenery. But be aware you will need a 4WD. Yes, we actually went with a 2WD camper van. We managed, just about though. Kathrine is also a great place to be. The main camp ground close to the Gorge has a great pool which is nice to have in order to cool off. Otherwise it’s just the visitors center or drive into Kathrine.
