The Big Things are man made structures and sculptures and are usually built to promote a particular product or thing that the town is well known for. The very first Big Thing was The ‘Big Banana’ in 1964.

Here is a few of the ‘Big Things’

The very first ‘Big Thing’ was the Big Banana in Coffs Harbour, Queensland. It is 5 metres high and 11 metres long and is now over 40 years old.
