When we think of having to buy Travel Insurance we usually think of it as an added extra cost on to our holiday that we don’t really have to have. Until we lose the luggage or have to cancel a flight for a family emergency etc. travel insurance covers lost luggage, cancelled flights, medical costs and much more.

  • Declare any pre existing medical conditions
  • If you intend to do extreme sports like snow skiing, parachuting, bunge jumping etc make sure you are covered – this may be extra cost.

  • Insuring a hired camper or motorhome maybe cheaper through your travel insurance policy rather than purchasing insurance from the company that hires the camper or motorhome.
  • Inform the insurer of your pre existing medical condition, if you get sick from a pre existing illness you may not be covered and paying the bills yourself
  • Make sure you are covered for everything you are doing, inform the insurer of your plans especially be covered for extreme sports.
  • Many people don’t take out a travel insurance policy because – they think it’s a waste of money, they forget and they think ‘It won’t happen to me!’
